Geez, just say "Come in."
This summer, be ready to open your doors to the grooviest vampire that can make your point of view about blood sucking creatures to have a 360-degree turn. This May, the ‘revamped’ gothic soap opera of the late 60’s Dark Shadows will be released as a supernatural drama comedy film.
The movie is directed by none other than Tim Burton and stars Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd, Alice In Wonderland, Rango), Eva Green (Quantum of Solace, The Golden Compass, Casino Royale, The Dreamers), Michelle Pfeiffer (New Year’s Eve, Stardust, Hairspray, I Am Sam), Jonny Lee Miller (Aeon Flux and TV Series like Dexter, and Emma), Chloe Grace Moretz (Hugo, Let Me In, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Kick-Ass), Gulliver McGrath (Hugo, The Loved Ones), and how can I forget Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter, Great Expectations, The King Speech, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice In Wonderland).
The story started during 1752, when husband and wife Joshua and Naomi Collins decided to leave Liverpool and set sail to North America to start a new life with their young son Barnabas. After two decades, young Barnabas turns from a just a Collin kid into a wealthy and powerful playboy and became the master of Collinwood Manor. Every thing was in Barnabas' hands until he breaks the heart of a witch named Angelique Bouchard who turns him into a vampire and put him locked up in a tomb.
After two centuries of being buried in that tomb, Barnabas is accidentally freed. He then returns to Collinwood Manor only to find out that it is nothing of a grand estate like it once was but a remnant of the past reaching the dirt of ruins of the year 1972 together with the the near to universal filth of the dysfunctional family that are its current occupants combined with the horrid secrets of those people which are his descendants.
