The HBO hit series Sex and the City was first broadcasted in 1998 when I was barely nine years old and just in my fourth grade. Too naive to understand what was it all about and too young for my parents to allow me watch it on the television. But I remembered sneaking every once in a while to catch a glimpse on what Carrie Bradshaw was wearing. And yes, I dreamt of wearing Carrie’s iconic ballerina outfit!
It was only during my college days that I got the chance to watch the series and note that it wasn’t the whole series at all. Pathetic, I know. So when I heard the news from my sister about the prequel to the acclaimed series and a brand new Bradshaw will be on her way, I immediately jumped out of my bed and write about it.
The prequel to the Sex and the City is entitled The Carrie Diaries. The series will open with Carrie being a senior high school in 1980's focusing on her coming of age and the beginning of her success in New York. Playing teen Carrie Bradshaw is AnnaSophia Robb. She is famous for her roles in movies like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Race to Witch Mountain, Bridge to Terabithia, Jumper, and Winn-Dixie.
